Getting back into boat plans/kits
While its not directly related to seacrafts, I thought I would share a little on a new project. The boat is a new design, but has a lot of well proven attributes. 24 degree deadrise, 8'6" beam, integrated bracket, single or twin outboards.
This particular design is something I wanted for myself, but we designed it from the start to be something an amateur could build. Construction method is sheathed strip composite. SC fans will see some similarities in the sheer line more info on the plans/kits.... https://www.gulfstreamcomposites.com...les.asp?ID=252

nice
Looks nice! Any information on specs- weight, speed, effiniceciency, cost to build?
Also, any plans to introduce a VDH design? |

With 300 hp she should hit 40 knots - AT A FULL LOAD, 5200 lbs. A typical load of 1,000+ lbs less and I expect 55+ mph. 35 mph cruise is what Im looking for.

Cool. Did you give the bottom the rocker and "hook" of the F233?

No hook of any significance, no need for it. A hook can help with low speed planing and maybe (no proven research I can find) with other handling characteristics. The faster you go the benefit of the hook causes more trouble than its worth IMHO
The boat will have nice big trim tabs to do that work, and trim tabs are retractable Of course, its really easy to build in a slight hook, you just don't fair very far the overlaps of glass coming from the transom to the bottom. The boat I build will probably have around 3/16" hook, but it will be faired out to 3' or more forward I put up the study plans last night for the CCSF25.5.... https://www.gulfstreamcomposites.com...les.asp?ID=254 Joel
