Default 23 Seacraft with F300

I have a 2000 23 seacraft currently running a 300 HPDI. Either you love them or hate them, well I am starting to be in the hate them category. Can't seem to get it to run right enough to love it. So now I am thinking about a repower and thinking about going with a F300 not on a bracket. Have searched online and seemed like there have been quiet a few done with the F300, but seems like everyone I have found is on a bracket or doesn't say if it is. Looking to see if anyone is running this set up, what your thoughts are, and what are some real performance numbers? Thanks for any help.

Price is quite a bit higher with a F300 vs DF 300. Performance reports on other boats seem to indicate 3mpg and close to 50 mph.

There is a thread on here with a F300 repower on a non-bracketed 23.

I'm doing the same set up on my 1974 23cc transom mounted engine raised to 30".. I'm almost ready to mount my 2012 F300 Yamaha.. I've had it in a crate since May... Can't wait... Post performance specs when you have them...
