Way to go Martin! Did you gig the mullet or did he jump in the boat. I've had plenty jump in. I remember taking a friend out when I was a teenager and spooking a school of big mullet with the light while he was standing on the bow. One of them jumped with a full head of steam and hit my friend right in the junk! Took him down instantly. Funniest thing I ever saw!

That's funny!!! Similar thing happened to my buddy in the front of a john boat, he's sitting there, well on his way to being very drunk, I told him to be careful those crazy mullet will jump in the boat. He slurred a few "F-you" my way and sure as heck a big 'ol mullet jumped at the light and hit him square in the chest, knocked the crap out of him!! I still laugh thinking about him laying on his back in the bottom of the boat, feet up in the air, beer spilled everywhere and the mullet slapping him with his tail. Damn that was funny.

lol Don.I had a similar this happen at crooked island .Mullet came out of the saw grass and jumped in the boat. Scared the living shit out of me. We were close to the shoreline so I thought it was a beast of some sort....that particular mullet was.gigged...
