Might have 8-10" shallower draft with the pocket. Guess that is a wheelhouse-workboat version of a Sceptre. At least the decks should be dry.

If your needs are a commercial vessel with wheelhouse and a big aft deck then it's the right tool for the job. Of all the old hulls laying around to build into a work boat he picked a good-en!
Maybe a few of Mr. Moesly's Stainless Seacraft emblems will give it the "bling" it needs to get back on the Gucci list.

I agree its a shame to do that, but doesn't seem performance would be bad. Maybe at high speeds. Plenty of flats skiffs with tunnel hulls
