Newer 23 Gas Tank
Does anyone know the bilge layout of the newer 23's? By newer I mean 1998+. Im interested in how far fore and aft the gas tank goes. Does the tank go as far forward as the hatch in front of the console (hatch shown in pic below)? And does it go as far aft as the backside of the in deck live well? Thanks for any help. I'm trying to gauge if there would be any extra room in the bilge or if the fuel tank takes up all the space.

No pic. Not really sure what you are asking but I will take a stab at it.
The original tank in my 79 was 8 feet long and 155 gallons I think. It went from the front of the CC to the rear where the access panel is. When I added my twin 4 strokes and bracket, I removed the tank and put in a new 100 gallon tank which is 5.5 feet long. I now have huge storage under about where my leaning post is because I mounted it starting in the exact area my old tank was mounted forward. Of course the new space it isn't extremely accessible but it does come in handy once in a while. My goal was to move the center of gravity slightly forward and for the most part, it worked.

Thanks. My question is a little confusing, but I am trying to figure out if there is any wasted space below the deck on the newer seacrafts, or if the fuel tank takes up all available space

To answer your question, yes the front of the gas tank is right at the hatch opening. The rear goes to the in deck live well. 150 gallons on my '98.
