Default Duratec Primer

I am going to make some epoxy parts in a mold and I was thinking of using Duratec primer. Merritt has Vinyl ester 1794-006 - I can't tell if that is the one I need for in-mold use. When I do a Google search for some of the other part #'s I do not see much available from online sellers and I am not sure exactly what I need and where to get it.
Has anyone here had any experience with Duratec? What did you use and what are your thoughts on it?
Thanks,

Its very handy stuff for making quick molds. I have actually used a Sherman-Williams quick dry easy sand primer, then PVA for quick molds. It's a fraction of the cost. Just depends how many parts you are making and how perfect the finish needs to be.

If you look in my coffin box build thread, the white surfaces are either melamine or primed MDF with the Sherman-Williams stuff

Thanks Joel, the Sherwin Williams sounds like a good option - I really like your coffin box. I would have been afraid that the heat would affect it during curing but you obviously didn't have a problem with it. My plan was to do the mold then spray PVA then Duratec so that my part comes out primed. Some of their products are gelcoat replacements for molded parts but I have not been able to find anyone who has used them. It would be just about as easy and a lot cheaper to pull a raw part and finish it the way you did.

It just depends how finished you want it. I was already planning to high build and paint the box, no gel coat. If your going with a gelcoat surface, then it might be worth the time/cost to go with duratek, mold release, then gelcoat.
