Default Guage/Instrument Panel Size 74' 23 sceptre

Does anyone have the dimensions of the forward Guage/instrument panel of a 74' sceptre? Was wondering if the new 4.3" G2 display will fit with a small 7" gps/sounder unit flush mounted into the same panel. Wishful thinking.
Thx

My 76/77 is 18 1/2" wide at top and about 6 1/2" tall (on the angle)

I can measure my Sceptre dash on Sunday, Monday when I am near the boat.

I can tell you that anything mounted there that needs any manipulation will be hazardous to operate underway. The windshield is quite the bully and will beat you up pretty badly unless you are unusually short. On my current refit I am deleting the whole forward dash pod and modifying the helm to accommodate gauges and controls where they will be easily accessed.

Good point, Moose. I would love to see your new instrument pod setup.

It is not finished yet as we need to cut the angle out of the top to give it a face for the instruments. As far as the MFDs, they will be bail mounted on top and up close so they can be reached from the helm chair.

Hadn't thought about that, however am planning on removing the windshield all together and having eisenglass installed around the four post soft top. Also thinking of bringing the pod back so it's closer to access. Also, does anyone know if any one manufactures removable aluminum steps that sit inside the cabin to access the bow. Or is that going to be a custom project? Thanks for the advice.

Doesn't it make sense to just keep gauges up there without any controls. Here is a pic of mine. I have my switch panels under the wheel and will only put engine gauges on the pod. I failed to get a picture of the trim tab panel. It is mounted to the left of the steering wheel. The throttle will be mounted to the right of wheel.

I also have a full width electronics box and all electronics will go there. I won't be able to reach the GPS while sitting in the helm chair, but I am not aware of too many boats where this is possible anyway. The captain always has to stand to reach the electronics whether they are on the console or overhead in an electronics box.
