Google Earth makes that area look pretty interesting, especially down toward Parker dam. How clear is the water?, satelite pics look pretty good.

Yes, it really is an interesting spot! So many coves to explore, and good
bars to visit...
The water is usually very clear, with visibility at least 10-15'.

I just bought the boat so I could dangle my legs over a sandy beach.

Yeah, you say you just wanted to "dangle my legs over a sandy beach", but you're the one who signed onto CSC. We know you secretly wanted all that techical bla bla: you can't hide!

I'd like to join you dangling my legs over a secret Colorado beach, especially if the water vis is decent.

Late summer heatwave in Arizona with temps around 120 F.
Spending the day on the hook in a quiet cove is a good way to
beat the heat...
