Need advice with replacing cooler mounts.
The cooler mounts are the umpteenth set I've broken. The location is a PITA, but that's where momma want it. Plenty of room for chairs when the kids and Grandkids come along. (They haven't come along in years) & for fighting fish. (Too much Wicked Tuna on her part). Anyhow, I'm the bull in the china shop. Seems every time I work on the boat, I break one or two of them. Ya'll have suggestions for a different type holder/ mount? I assume I need metal?
Thanks for your help. |

When the cooler is removed it's 3/16" above deck maybe. https://www.kennedytiedown.com/kits/...olt-cooler-kit

Let me solve your problem right now !
Go to Home Depot and get a roll of the rubberized heavy duty dtawer liner and cut it to the length of your cooler. Lay it on thle deck wherever you want. Set the cooler on top and it will never side regardless of sea conditions. Easy to move to another location without holes, brackets or trip over toe bumpers.....PS: another piece cut for inside the cooler, acts a shelf or separation area and keeps the air off your ice which maintains it longer. Also put a piece over your catch in the fishbox. Keepys them fresher and cool. Easy to clean. I've been doing this for years.!

A friend of mine just put some flush mount D rings in his deck. Looks like it wouldn't be too difficult a job.
