Just got back from muzzleloader in CO. Shooting a TC Encore with 295 grain powerbelts in .50

Rife season i usually shoot a model 70 .308

First time doing muzzleloader out there and i dont think ill go back any later cuz the weather was so good!

Southwest and their 2 free bags policy is soooo nice.

If you are shooting the 6.5mm Creedmoor, you should check out the article in this month's Grays' Sporting Journal on the evolution of that round from the Mannicher up to today. Fascinating.

I stick to my Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 30-06 for my week in Susquehanna County PA come November-December. With the scope on 3 power, it is all I need at the 70-90 yards most common in our woods. Have a 1940's vintage Model 94 for an alternative on really snowy, pouring rain kind of days...

Savage .308 here with Luepold scope. If it would cool off and the skeeters go away I'll go use it.
