Default Dive hookahs as respirators?

There must be tens of thousands of these across the country.

Why not?

Just thinking outside the box.

Interesting idea! Or maybe even a scuba tank and regulator? I just texted two doctor friends here to get their feedback. Will post their reply.

Drs and Scuba pros I connected pointed out the difference between on demand and continuous flow air delivery. Something might be set up with scuba or hookah equip for marginal patients, who need a little assistance breathing (although CPaP machines might do a better job), leaving the “real” respirators for patients who are in serious condition and intubated

How many cfm per minute is continuous?

Ditch the regulator?
