Default Low glowing temp lite

Gents: Still sorting out my 23WA/Suzuki DF225. Latest twist is I have a low glowing engine temp lite - running or not. Could this be a ground issue or maybe a bad sensor? The other warning lights go out after starting. Haven't run it on the water until I sort this lite out. Thanks for the advice.

Always forget to go the easy route first. Gauge is bad - tested against my newer one.

At least those gauges are cheap.
