Default Outboard shaft length question

On Sceptre with bracket ....
25” or 30” and would 30” be too deep since outboards tends to sit/ ride a bit lower on bracketed boats ?

On Sceptre transom mounted ....
Whats best 25” or 30”

Transom mount 25

Bracket depends...they make them for 25 and 30 at least thats what hermco used to do. The 30 inch bracket had a whole lot of flotation. I have a boat at home that has a 23 inch transom (not seacraft) and it takes a 20 inch motor...

Depends on the transom height or where the bracket is mounted.
