Default Power Pole install

I was able to find a good deal on a 8ft power pole pro series II and will be installing it soon. I am more inclined in getting a motor mount rather than mounting it straight to the transom.

I have a couple used M26 mounts and was wondering if anyone is using one or using the M23 motor mount from power pole. I realize the M26 is 3 inches taller when mounted. Thanks in advance!

I installed one on a customers Jones Brother 23 last winter.
He's a charter fly fisherman here on Cape Cod and he went for the transom mount.
He was kind of on the fence after using it for awhile. Said it sometimes got in the way while fly-fishing.
At the end of this season he opted to leave it on.
Install was unremarkable, but with the transom mount, somewhat permanent.

Yea I do enjoy fly fishing but haven't done any from the Seacraft yet, I don't think Ill have an issue with that. I am almost 100% Im going with the motor mount just because I do not want to drill any more holes into the boat and in case I sell the boat I can always keep the power pole
