I didn't know that! I mount mine on a G10 block that I adhere to the transom with 3M 5200 so that I screw into the block, not into the transom, which helps with transom life. Also, kudos to Fr. Frank for the transducer tutorial! |

Fishstretcher, It looks as though G10 is expensive. I am correct? Are there any other materials you have used will work for the transducer block?

Finally with pictures.
Thanks all for the help finally dragged her home and exited for the weather to get warmer here in Long Island. Here are a few pictures. I’m wondering from looking at Frank’s if it’s sitting down too close to the engine wash. Any help would BGE appreciated. Also does 5200 hold all season? I would love to not add anymore holes into a 35 year old transom.

Also disregard the barnacles
Bump are you serious or are you kidding? Obviously disregard those barnacles I’ll knock them off. 2nd anything I can put on it to prevent them from growing on the transducer?

Actually, I thought you were kidding when I saw the picture. Take all that junk off and move it further away from motor,or just take all the stuff off first and try that. Then go with moving it if that doesn’t solve the problem.
