Yeah, it appears they are clearance for 1-1/8" tube, so they are about 1-3/16", a bit less than 1-1/4"

I haven't used either, you could very well be right. They are not inclined outwards at all, so they look like they would be used for a bimini to me. But I wouldn't know. The rod holders I have are splayed port and starboard, which made me think they were for a bimini. I learned something today.

Those outrigger mounts were installed on the boat at the builders in 1975.
