Absolutely not. Publix milk crates are made of gold and are way to heavy to put on the deck. Your best bet is to start hunting garage sales or homeless camps for some legacy TG Lee or my personal favorite... old school McCarther Dairy.

What's wrong with Sealtest? Or Gustafsons (sp?) Farms?

I'm fond of the blue McCarther Dairy as they remind me of the gulfstream. Sealtest.... Forgot about those.

I have had my 35 year old yellow "Borden's Dairy" milk crate....
It matched my color scheme... I think the statute of limitations has run out...

Hmmm I could really hit the hard to find spots and see if I could come up with one from Farm stores always thought they had the best vanilla ice cream. Now add that to some A&W root beer --hmmm think I'm showing my age

OK will lean on you for the hook lessons! In the mean time I think I'm going G-2 200/twins. Reason: dealer support near by and have dealt with them for a very long time. Long time friend made me rethink the single power, he knows I push the limits of distance off shore. Now the BIG question. What bracket would be best for the application/most positive flotation? What about porta jack as an option or jack plate direct to the transom? Will need to buy a new coffee mug/anti spill------- |

Oh forgot to mention the better half has given the OK to make a run to the Bahamas in early summer
Shore power and the AC will make the trip easy peasy. deep drop wiring also on the list now. List is getting big. My money issues have been solved, will share when the deal is done. |

Hermco seems to be the bracket of choice for these boats. They seem to work well with these boats and I believe were the originally designed for Seacrafts as well. Also the fiberglass construction takes away any corrosion issues that a metal bracket might have.
