Default Barrel key for cabin door.

I only got one key for the cabin on my Sceptre when I bought it. It is a barrel key that slides off the key and stays in the door. Does anyone know where i could get one made or a replacement? I have a 1979 20' Sceptre. thanks Scotty

I Remember those well but haven't seen one in a long time. I think everyone used them up to mid to late 80's . Now they're all using Mobella locks. I'm in the boat parts surplus stores all the time and I'll look around but I wouldn't count on much.
Good luck and use a lot of WD40 on that key, it may be the only one you'll ever have.

70's boat
Thanks for keeping an eye out for me. I keep the boat out on a ball in Gloucester so its nice to be able to keep some gear in the cuddy and not have to haul it out every trip. I was thinking of putting a new style hasp and padlock but really want to keep boat original as I can. Locks just keep the honest people honest anyway. I used to fish out of Fort myers beach back in the early 70's (Bubba Gump) had a lot of fun over Sanabel and pine islands etc. I fished between Fort myers and Key west was a wild time back then! Let me know if you scout up something I may be down Fort myers Beach for Holidays if I can talk the bride into going down to visit my folks. Just became a grand dad this July and it may be hard to get away at the holidays. Scotty
