Default 23 foot sea craft

I just bought a 1974 23 seacraft with twin 70s. I wasn't happy with them so I got a deal on a 1988 225 evinrude. I put the motor on the boat a new helm, steering cable, shift cables, shifter and a oil injection setup. That boat now runs 49mph top speed. At first I wasn't sure about the boat and now I think next year It will get a new paint job. I really think it is a great boat.

Congrats on the boat, twin 70's ? It's a wonder it got on plane.I also have a 23 it's a 1973 with an old Rude like yours, I'm getting around 40 top end with a 15" prop turning about 6000 rpm.I'm curious on your top end, is that on the gps, and what prop are you turning ? Oh yeah, it's worth a paint job - at least !
