I've got a CC with an old carbed Evinrude 225, I hit 41 on the GPS.I'm underpropped at 15 (stock alum), so I'll put a 17 Stiletto on next year and hopefully get a few more.

23' Sceptre w/225 Evinrude - 36-37mph WOT

Otto - you're getting 46 with a 200? What's your hull weight, fuel capacity, prop size, and age of motor? That seems fast for the motor size. My 225 is an '89, so it's rated at the power head and not the prop, so prop output is probably 190 or so, then factor in the age and it's probably less than that.

23' Sceptre W/200 Evinrude also about 37mph WOT.
Like to cruise about 30-31mph @ 4000rpm. Thats plenty for me. Offshore you rarely care anyway.

Billybob, you won't be sorry with a Stilleto. I got one a few weeks ago and it made a big difference in whole shot and the boat can be trimmed up much higher with out it blowing out. (Stock prop would blow out after not much trim) Lots of bang for the buck, money well spent. With only a 115 on a 20' I need it to be propped just right I don't have any extra HP to play with.
