On my 20' seafari the battery is located in the starboard corner of the boat. I would like to relocate the battery inside the cabin forward of the control bulkhead.I'm a little worried about the movement of the hull when I happen to crest a wave or two. Would the acid splash out of the vent holes ??. Where do you center console boys have your juice mounted. There is a little built in storage area that would be perfect. All of this would just make it easier to install a larger battery than a standard group 24.

catman - i have the same boat, ill be moving the batterys from the back center into the cabin, they will eather be one on each side of the cabin infront of the bulkheads, or on the cabin floor where a porta potty would go, and ill build a nice cubby for them.

I have mine (2 batteries with perko switch)on the floor under the center console on my 20'. It's easy to get to and keeps the weight forward and allows use of any size battery.

I decided to cut in a Bomar hatch into the outboard motor splash well. Secured a plywood shelf inside the bilge area at approx the same level as the boat deck. Installed 2 batteries with Perko switch. Centered place of minimal pounding and nice fit. - Nick
