Jim, nice job, looks great! The boat looked very comfortable too Which one of you needed more painkillers?

Thanks,

The mattress was Jason's idea. Had a whole bunch to choose from.

Pain killers? Isn't that what Jack Daniels is for?

Otto, Its air dry gel coat. Sad to say I'll be bottom painting the boat. I wanted to try out the gel coat spray gun, so I thought the bottom would be a good place to start. Didn't lay down as smooth as I hoped. Maybe I'll get better on the other side and before I get to the real details.

EBeach,

What's the difference between a gel coat gun and a good paint gun?

Otto,

A gel coat gun is designed to spray heavy materials. Gel coats, resins, sand, and any other thick stuff. A regular gun could be used to spray gel coat, but you would have to thin it with acetone and maybe some styrene. Also cleaning the gel coat gun is a piece of cake. Can you imagine trying to remove resin from a spray gun? I mixed up and applied almost 3qts, cleaned up and was done in less than 45 mins. By myself. Now I just need to sand (by myself)

Gel Coat Gun-

It sprays unthinned gel coat whereas one would need to thin out gel coat if you were to spray it with a std. spray gun

E Beach - you missed a spot...

Looks Great! Now you say you need to put anti-fouling on it too?? What about one of those new clear coats?
