Default Columbus Day Regatta 2003

The 49th Columbus Day Regatta will take place in Biscayne Bay (Miami Florida) on October 11th and 12th. Anyone planning on attending? Trying to get a head count so I know if I should plan on making more then the usual 300 Jello Shots......

Ok, great, and yes, it is one BIG party. You will find me, if you can, in a Concept23 with Black and Blue Checker graphics, blue T-Top. I know, I know, I should be in a SeaCraft......

I have decided to make 500 Jello Shots this year, simply from popular demand. I will be back in town two days before the Regatta so I will be very busy......

Ha John
I might stop buy Saturday for a while I probably will be fishing if weather permits and might peek in on all the action after I get done. I have avoided the boat crunch for years plus all those naked girls (eye candy) at the moment really looks great but then for weeks afterward I have to keep on remind myself I am a married man and cant go there.

Fellow-Ship,
Good luck on the fishing. The weather is supposed to be fantastic!!!! Maybe I will see you, maybe I won't, depends on how creative you are in finding me. I will be anchored near a 48 foot houseboat. I have turned the fishbox in the floor into a VERY LARGE cooler since I will not be fishing much that day....

Ken

I made the trip down a couple years back & the place was "out of control" I blew my lower unit Sunday so I'm high and dry this year Take some close-ups of the local color for me!

Well as usual I avoided the regatta again. I looked at pictures of last year’s turnout and figured that if I went I would be there for a very long time and it was getting hot. I did go fishing and got two very large mutton snapper a few amberjack, one grouper and one rainbow runner about 6 lbs. but by 10:30 the fish turned off. I fished another hr. or so and then headed back to the barn.
