Just want to share & shed some weight, Here(relief)
My Dog "Hoover" has gotten into Rat Poison !
He's a 186# Boy 34" neck 6 yrs old.(Don't put Your BEER on the ground or Anywhere within HIS reach !!)He'is the Gentle giant You would expect ! Loves & will stop at most of the KIDS houses & wait till they come out & pet Him. If We take him anywhere He's THE MAN !!LOves the attention See's No Color & Loves everyone including cats !He Hates Rats (I think He caught one Eating His Food) Otherwise would love them Too !! His Size is whats keeping Him alive at this Time.He was given a 50 - 50 chance Yesterday.He has improved a Lil' overnite (at the Vet).It took a couple of Days to figure out what was wrong,1st his liver ,next day Hemmogering (internal)This is where a special blood test showed what a misserable thing this SH*# does ! He's on shots ,gallons of it(SIZE) 103.6* fever for the last few days !
Today He is responding ,actually ate some baby food.No blood in stools .!!
My backyard neighbor is a Cat Lady ,rescues / captures cats/ dogs takes them home gets them into Health nueters/spays then to homes.We've helped Her many times with whatever she needs.
Well I found out thru one of Her Borders that SHE PUT IT OUT !!!!!! This woman is a Nurse owns Her on Chardiac Sevice & Assisted living home !!
When I asked Her she confirmed She put it out(trick'd) !When I told Her what Happened She stuttered & said Months ago ,Her border said a week ago ! Our neighbor found a dying rat in their yard & their mini Maltese has been sick.Just a reminder that If You put this SH*# out Make sure that its NO WHERE NEAR other Animals !!Remember these critters will travel !They don't have to be eat'n ,just played with for these New & Old poisons to take hold & kill !There is No outward sign either.just lay down & internally Bleed to DEATH !The look in His eye's will tear Ya apart ! Get a Gun ,trap or what have Ya'.GOD forbid a kid or other animal gets it.
Thanks for the VENT & SHOULDERs!!He hasn't made His trip on the New SeaCraft ! So send Him Your Prayers ! He cry's when the Wife & I Go & he does'nt.

Capn brad, so sad, I sincerely hope he comes through with flying colors. I have a canvas shop in my garage and occasionally have problems with mice and keep the poison laying out/ around strategic areas. I am going toremove it now and just use sticky boards I think. I bought some poison last Year or so ago But couldn't put it out Just didn't want to take the chance ? I didn't want the Lil buggers eating all my Skirts(Lures) Just in case You Guys was thinking !! What makes a RAT like Plastic or Rubber ???I've got a pellet gun so I'll just let them get a lil distance up a tree or regular rat traps.This could've been a accident with anyone. Anyway I've had some ?'s here are the answers to a few.I'm glad He's a Big Healthy Boy !He seems to be a lil better.Bringing Him home for the Weekend Tomorrow.???.Thanks for the replys & posting the photo.I tried posting the boat w/ Him & that photo but couldn't ?The photo above is Him playing Dead(Sleeping). Answers;He was in My Yard with a Privacy fence w/No acess to Hers.Generally Rats/Rodents in the early fall or earlier will take & Hide food in burrows ,Trees,etc. ever.I think this maybe what happened He found a burrow (but He does not dig)In south Fl. We have about 2"s of dirt rest is solid coral.He may have found a Dying Rat that He finished off ! I'm not sure He would eat one.I 've seen Him catch one in Mid air jumping .He is amazingly fast & agile. Rats & a Moluccan Cockatoo (wild)is the only thing I've seen Him get aggresive at ! The noise it made I'm sure.
He is a Mix between a Fila Brasilleros & Bull Mastiff.

Hi all,
Called the Vet early AM He's doing better !5 days (since we discovered) Big joints gotta be stiff,No movement since,I'll have to call My Massues/PT ? to work Him over.
I'll be leaving Work today early pick up for the weekend,Hopefully he can stay home.Anyone want to come help Me load him up & Out !! Man He's HEAVY !! Thanks again !!

Come on JohnR !! Actually this photo was taken with a Underwater camera then scanned then whatever You do to them(Sound good?).I didn't save the original so this is the only one I have of Him in the BOAT !! But I just got Him home & all I can say if Your gonna poison a Big Guy DON"T TRY IT !! He's doing much better !The Vet said just a few hours more or a smaller animal or person they would be Gone !Being Big has paid off !! Man what a relief Looks like He is gonna get another ride on the "NEW" SeaCraft !! I'll try and take a better photo ,Yep still learn'n. E-mail me & let me know what settings to put it on(camara)(Cannon) for photo's on the www site. I think I stick to Making Lures !
