weight of a 23 inboard.

Does anyone know the overall weight of a 23 straight inboard? I have to trailer one tomorrow with a half ton Dodge, I'm assuming it will be no problem, but it seemed pretty heavy when I towed it with a one ton Ford Diesel. I'm also concerned because the trailer brakes still need to be fixed, the previous owner disconnected them. The brakes on a one ton are a-lot beafier than my half ton.

I tow mine with a F-150 on a alum. trailer and it tow's great, never had a problem.

Worried over nothing, towed very easily and braking wasn't even a problem. Dropped it off at J&J Marine Fabricators in Somerset MA for a new powder coat white hard T-Top. What an amazing operation they have there.

dont tow in overdrive, that is the weakest link on a dodge truck.I pulled my 23 with a 99 dodge ram 4x4 5.9 motor, fuel milage was terrible and stopping was even worse.Very scary.(no trailer brakes) Moved up to a 2500 cummins its the bomb, Les

I had a 1997 F-150 with 2 wheel drive 4.6 automatic did a ample job but I did burn our a transmission at 90,000 due to towing 40 times a year. Just got a F-250 Super Duty 5.4 automatic and it has made a big difference both in breaking and in power train. Oh by the way I have Kodiak Stainless Steel surge brakes on my trailer and I would Definitely have that put on your trailer actually you are illegal with that much weight with out breaks, well at least in Florida not sure in other states.

in my 02 Dodge 1500 sport with a 5.9 averaged 8.1 mpg while towing and I only average about 13 while not towing. I did however make a 45 mile trip Saturday night without burning a single gallon of gas.
Of course this is because my truck was on a flatbed getting towed to the dealership because I blew the #%@$! Rear end. I just had the rear-end rebuilt on warrenty 2000 miles ago. I let my dealership know what a great job they did!

It looks like a chevy 4 door 2500 Duramax is in my near future.
