Insuring a restored SeaCraft??
What have you guys done about insuring your restored SeaCraft's? They are clearly worth more than the "book" value. My agent says I may qualify under a "classic yacht" policy, but wondering if there is another option.
Thanks, peter |

Re: Insuring a restored SeaCraft??
I insured both of my SeaCrafts through my home owners policy
with Nationwide after I had a survey done. About $1200. a year. 1970 20 SF 1978 23 Secptre Good Luck, Ken PS: I tried Boat US, but they are big boat and blow boat oriented.

Re: Insuring a restored SeaCraft??
I got a survey and was able to insure it based on the value of the survey. I also went with Nationwide but after these storms I am not sure if they are still selling boat ins.

Re: Insuring a restored SeaCraft??
I have AAA. They put it on my homeowners insurance. They asked me how much I wanted to insure it for and they came up with a premium based on my stated value (35K). There was no survey. It was as easy as that.
