I'm still fishing for bass (well, casting to a half empty ocean anyway)...

Nice steaker!

Very good observation Those are 50S(2-speeds).
I figured to troll around the Bank to kill time during slack tide ... but nada.

I need to match up these 50S with some "reel" rods over the winter.

You should come down to Florida for the Dania shin dig. there are some great deals on rods and assorted tackle.

When do you winterize? or is OUZO ready at a moments notice?

I have never been cod fishing and have always said I would. My friend with the yellow 23 has hinted we may go this winter.

Can the bite be found all winter?

Nice fish! Let me guess...Wildcat?

Too bad I had to work on Saturday. Although today would have been a nice day to go out...too bad wind is honking out of the Northwest.

Just be careful out there....this time of year not too many people on the water to lend a hand if something goes wrong.

Jason,

When do you head down south? I will try to go.

I plan to put OUZO away the end of Nov, i have get to work on completing the next phase of my on-going home addition(had some great fishing days in the past during X-mas shutdown week ).

Not sure, others may know, that some talk about shutting around here the cod spawning grounds down on Dec 1st.

Ed, i hear you, but check this out at my "secret" spot on Sat ;

There was a closure of roughly from Hull or Winthrop east and north thru into Maine somewhere. I don't have the details handly but probably up on the MSBA.net website or Mass DMF... Closure is to protect the few spawning cod left...

CS - Nice Fish . . . I love Cod fishing. This is the best time of year from now until christmas (in close to shore). Not surprised that they closed that area down . . .

I've got some good numbers if you ever want to make a 30 mile run from Saugus (past tillies)

Hey Thanks BS ,

I would like to check out your numbers. If they are a haul, sometimes i launch from Gloucester.

I am going to try for one more run this weekend.

PM me, i will check them out early next year.

Thanks Nick
