Default Stringer to transom reattachment

Am wondering how I should go about putting my stringers back together at the transom, currently they are cut back 4" from the transom, should I sister the sides of the exisiting pieces to the transom or use the pieces I have saved from cutting them away? Also seeings how the stringers start wider at the bottom than at the top if I do sister ply to each side should I make the ply the same height as the top of the exisiting glass stringers and use foam to fill the space and glass over it all?

There are lots of good pics on this site where guys built "knees" to tie the two together. Search or scroll through repair and pics, you'll find them. Looks good so far!!
