Default CRANKY NORTHERNERS THREAD

Today as I was getting read for work I saw the beginning of all that bad weather that you guys up north have to deal with each year. Plus I have noticed that you northern guys get really really CRANKY starting about now when you have to winterize your boats and are forced to forget about being on the water ALL WINTER LONG. SOOOOOOO I thought I would give you your own thread to vent your FRUSTRATIONS until spring time comes again.

Matter of fact I think I will post I picture to cheer you guys up a little.

hey ikan the tuna bite is getting started early we had a charter come in with 1300 #s and there were alot of 100 plus big eye yellowfin. the trip ended a day early due to no space in the fish boxes.
any body interested in tuna fishing on the gulf coast this winter let me know. a good friend is trying to put some charters together to midnight lump. the boat is a 31 blackfin. they will be fishing out of either venice or fouchon, la

Hey,

Up here in Northern NJ we are still waiting for the best fishing of the year to develop. The bass should be getting ready for their early Nov to mid Dec big push and then we got the best fishing of all, Blackfishing, which starts on Nov 15 and can be good until mid to late January.

Maybe after all this is done I will winterize my SeaCraft.

If you are really nuts you can then go sea bass fishing 60 to 90 miles off shore from Jan through early March (then the cycle starts up again).

Thank God for winter! This is the only time of year we can actually work on these boats. Upgrades and deferred maintainence are just some of fun we get to enjoy.

Hey Ikan,
After I took a closer look at your western winter scene,
someone was in your backyard!

See ya Ken

That person has a standing invite but I think he likes wearing shorts and t-shirts too much for the Winter climate here (and I spend the Summers in his neighborhood!).
