Has anyone replaced the deck in an inboard? Any suggestions? I am also toying with the idea of removing the casting platform. Does anyone have any suggestions on this as well?

I recently did the deck on my 20 sf with an outboard, so i dont have a lot of info on the inboard but probably just a few more cuts. May I suggest looking in to a material called Penske board rather than plywood. I used on my boat, it is very strong, good weight, and does not absorb any water. Which is good when screwing into with consols, leaning posts etc. I found even when using 5200 with screws in the deck there was still ocasional water intrusion. Hope this of some help.

Tashmoo,
The local fiberglass shop in nj where we did the job got it for me. You may want to try Jamestown Dist. 1 800 497 0010. Or look them up on the web. I think that is where we got it, its been a few years ago now. hope this helps. |

Hey dmese - Did you just buy that boat? or have it up for sale? I had heard of a inboard 23cc for sale in MA with a T-Top for short money with a soft deck.

Not for sale. Just finishing up a restoration. New stringers, deck, tanks, well everything.
