Default HHI, SC to Sandy Hook, NJ Round Trip

04 Toyota Tacoma leaving Dec. 19, returning Dec. 24 or 26 depending on weather/HANGOVER. (Going home to celebrate 40th.) A Striper report would make a great gift!

Anyone need anything? Happy Holidays. Part II.

Mike,

The birds started finally working big time off of the hook. All of the short bass (and some keepers) that you want right now. This is some of the best action of the year. Also, the tog fishing has been excellent.

Thanks for the reports PeterB. Hope things are improving for you. I've got a spot on the 20MA, if you're in the area.

AHH, Miles. How are ya? Would love another opportunity aboard that 23. How is she? And your buddy Mike?
Hard to believe Va. Beach is so far off 95. Haven't been to Wanchese, NC to see an old diehard fishing buddy from high school, for the same reason. Thanks for the invite. A Happy and HEALTHY Holiday to all. Mike.

Slayed the Tog off the Elberon rocks the other day, birds and stripers on the beach and weather is still warm, it should be good!

Thanks Jeff. Weather looks good until next Tuesday. I'm arriving Wednesday early afternoon. Thurs. and Fri. days I could surf. Will it be 19*? Transporting a Dodge hood up north for a fellow Whaler member and may not have room for rods. Been raking clams for my boys up there and don't even have room for the cooler! Trying to transport about 400 or so. Maybe pack my Tica and call it a try. Will be staying near the beach Sat and Sun mornings as well. Thanks for the report. Mike.

Mike,

Here is an email form a Captain that I know pretty well. As you can read in the below email, he is running an open boat this Friday. This Captain does an excellent job of putting you on the fish. Also, his port is in Highlands, which is nothing more than a long cast from Fair Haven.

Subject: The fishing continues....

Well, I was going to pull the boat tommorow, but the fishing is just too damned good. We had 30 keeper blackfish today, and half of them were between 5 and 8.5 pounds. Just awesome. I watched the birds working over bass about a mile south of where we anchored, they were up all day. With action like this, I have to give it at least another week.

I'm going to try to fish Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week. Yeah, I know Sunday is Christmas Eve, you'll be home by 4 o'clock. These trips will all go 7 am-3pm, cost $135 per head, and I'll jig or bottom fish or both, whatever the hell everyone wants to do, as long as we're killin' somethin'! If you are interested in fishing any of these days, call me for a reservation. Do it sooner than later, so I can plan when we'll sail.

Don't forget, if you charter the boat any weekday for the rest of the month, I'll sail for $500 (excluding tip). See you this week!

Regards,

Capt. Ken

Peter,

Thanks for that info. I ran it by my VP Sales - all expence paid trip and hook up with VEZO II. Tough week to do this if you still want to stay married.

Mike - enjoy your stay back home. We've confirmed Hilton Head for early April. Can you guys put us on some freakin fish this time?
