9-04-07 report

Went out to go bouy hoping this morning, threw the cast net in rudee a couple times and got three spot and one menhaden. Thank god because we didn't find any menhaden anywhere else. Ran the NC line and nothing. Ran over to the tower to try for a cuda but they didn't like the tube eel so I drop a spot down for giggles, bait didn't hit the bottom and fish on. Keith put down the pitchin rod and pulled us off the tower. Got the fish in after some work, rebaited so keith could get his, a little slower but he got hooked up and lost it to the tower, that one was probably a amber jack. OK one spot left so kept our distance and finally got keith his 44" release. Checked the CB line on the way and nothing, dump site nothing. Im thinkin I should have run to 4a this morning but you can't beat bycatch like that.

Nice jacks guys ! heard about the awesome cobia slaughter yesterday down off sandbridge- might have to give it a try this weekend if the weatherman cooperates. Tell Keith I didnt know that Charlie Miller and him grew up together. He still have his seacraft???? thanx for the pix, craig
