Default Transom Trim

I am replacing my set of twins and going to a single. The aluminum trim around the transom needs to be replaced. Is there any ideas on what I could use for that and where I can get it?

I tried to replace mine a few ago without success. It seems the angle/bend at the corners required a special jig. I took it to a custom fabricator and got sticker shock

I would build one out of PVC board or get "Strick" to make ya one out of fiberglass and then paint it

I'm tired of making stuff I still have to make a leaning post for this darn boat I'm working on. I wonder if marine connection would have some of that stuff laying around. You may have to cut/heat/bend it or something to make it fit right.

You could grind and glass the seam, paint with gelcoat. Better than covering up with trim.

I have both pieces of stock trim for a 23' single motor boat in pretty good shape that I posted a coupld of weeks ago for sale. If your interested, the price was right, free, or maybe toss a couple of bucks toward the CSC site.
If you need pictures or want more info, let me know.

That is what I did to my Sceptre.

Here are the pictures of the transom trim.

It measures 53" wide at the top, with a 19" wide in the middle with 14" at the bottom where the motor is.
The trim is 1 3/4" wide, and it comes with 2 pieces, let me know if your interested or I will pitch in the alum recycle pile.

I'll hang on to it for a couple of weeks, once I get finished with my boat, and clean up, I will toss it then.
