Default Boat of the week !!

Well today started out like all the rest...
Until Tarpun (Dave) called me to say that there
was a SeaCraft in the weekly Penny Saver for
$800. It stated that it was a project 20 ft.
This afternoon Dave and I headed to look at the
boat. Turns out he is a friend of my son who bought
this project last year. He does not have the time
or the know how and decided to dump it..
Keep in mind we thought this was a Seafari
until we saw her!!!!!

Here are a few pics from this afternoon..
Needless to say Dave bought it on the spot.
It was manufactured 09/77
YES it is a Savage.
Deck is solid, just needs transom and bow cap redone.
This included the trailer..
She will be relocated to the SeaCraft rehab center
tomorrow.......

There were only 26 of these ever made !!!
Whata find..

See ya, Ken

Here's the info from CSC front page. Now go round up the free boat and get to work or cough up the info. SOS Save Old Savages!!!

Awesome, I will check it out, I know the deck, transom and stringers are shot but that is no problem really. Armed with my new info I am going to investigate tomorrow and am bringing a camera too so we will see what it is

This was just a lucky find. The owner told Ken he thought it was a Seafari. Thats why I went to look at it. At first glance I was disappointed, we both thought it was Sceptre. Upon further inspection we realized it was a Savage. Needs Transom and front deck but fortunately the deck and cap are rock solid. Scott if you can grab a freebie jump on it; someone on this site can probably make use of it.
