20' Transom angle specs info ?

Hi All,

Can someone point me to a link or post this info? I tried looking thru the online Literature section, but did not see it. Other info on length/width of steps appreciated too.

I assume all 20' dimensions are the same? If not looking specifically for the 20' Seafari specs.

Nick, I measured the angle on my Seafari transom a few years ago, and it is 14 degrees. I don't know the answer to the rest of the question.

Hey Nick - I measured several times for the bracket . . . I had 13 degrees. You can measure 13, but cut 12 or 14 depending on the way the wind blows.

If the 20 is the same as my 18, I have a scaled drawing of the transom. Give me a little while and I'll try to figure out how to transfer it from my cad to this site.

You can't see the difference visually b/w 12, 13 or 14 degrees

There's a formula I can't remember, wherein you take the long side of a carpenter's square and put it under the keel line with the hull and up against the vertical chine, with the short arm of the square pointing up. You then slide the square as far under the hull as it will go, until the end of the short arm of the square makes contact with the transom. Using the height above the hull bottom for the contact in relations to the distance of the inside corner of the square from the transom will give you the transom angle.

Does anyone have the angle specs of the 3 steps? I could measure that info over the weekend, but was wondering if someone or somewhere this info is online.

I could scan in a copy of a created written draft, but was wondering if someone already had a "pretty" CAD like copy showing these dimensions and angles.

I can't seem to transfer from cad and my scanner doesn't work so here's some numbers from the 18. Maybe someone can verify if the 18 and 20 are the same.
- 0 is the keel
- step 1 is over 12", up 4.5" with a height of 1",surface is 14"
- step 2 is over 13.5" from step 1, up 2.75" with a height of 1", surface is 12 "
- chine is over 14.25" from step 2, up 3", surface is 14.5"
_ transom width at rub rail height is 6'9" not including the rub rails
