Default LBI Toggin Slam- Firday Dec 18

Got a slightly late start (had to break some ice to get to my crabbies). Broke BI a little before 7AM, and went out 10 miles to the secret reef.

Wind was a little higher & conditions were snottier than they had forecasted.

Anchored up and proceeded to have a great day togging. Between 8am and 11am, we probably caught about 20 keeper tog. I caught a 12.5 pounder and a 10.5 pounder (see below pix).

Both green crab and white leggers worked great yesterday.

Sweet grumpy 'togs. Hope you're using stealth technologies on your way to your numbers... Looks like the secret reef is a nice honey hole. Thanks for sharing the pics. Now about those numbers...feel free to pm them to me...

BRRRRRRRRRRR! And I thought I was a little homesick for the Holidays? I fished Friday too. Overcast and 70* in Hernando Beach, Fla.. Fun trip but nothing to cooler home. Sure is hard to throw back a Gag a half inch short. Pretty work Peter. Happy Holidays. Part II.

Nice catch there Peter.

That must have been one chilly run in and out! You have an enclosure on your 23?

I'd say you're crazy but I'm still out on the water this time of year, albeit in my duck boat.

CRAZY????
Yup, I've been called that before too so don't take it personnally. Just shovelled my boat out today. The wife required it be done after the house and cars. I have pictures if anyone can post them.

I know there is one more striper trip for me this year...

No full enclosure on my boat. Just the glass up front.

It was 20 degrees when we pulled out and we had to deal with tight 2 to 4 foot seas.

That's all right though, because it keeps the fair weathered fishermen off of the water.

I plan to keep togging on the SeaCraft until the fishing shuts down. Since the boat is about 100 miles from me right now the snow is still in her.

Since the weather conditions were likely appropriate, it is no wonder you referred to the 18th as "FIRDAY" and not Friday.
