Default New to the board, but not to seacraft

So I've been lurking for a while now but finally made my account and thought I'd say hi. Let me give you all a little of my history. I have been in a seacraft my while life. It's what I have always known. My dad bought our first seacraft in 1980. My mother was 3 1/2 months pregnant with me. It was a 1979 23 center console. I basically grew up in the boat. We used to go out almost every weekend in it. It was a wonderful upbringing. Why the short history you ask? Well in continuing with my family tradition I went out and bought a 1974 potter built 23 center console. I got it for 4k from a guy in north Florida. It had been sitting for 7 years basically untouched. It has a 235 hp OMC seadrive on it and was so dirty when I got it I wasn't sure what I was really in for. Even had almost a full 100 gallons in it. So I brought it back to south Florida to bring her back to the shape she belongs. Cleaned it up and it's in really good shape for sitting for so long. Some gel coat inside and fixing a couple fiberglass pieces, maybe a buff job to the outside hull and she will be in great shape. Owww yea. My girlfriend is 3 1/2 months pregnant. Family traditions..........
