Default Another Bracket

Finally finished this boat as a gift for my dad. Thanks to "hermit" for the boat. Motor is another franken' merc vertical reed 2.4L with a 30" shaft and a 2:1 ratio lower. Bracket was designed (it's a little square and boxy) but built to keep the motor way up out of the water. I had to keep the platform narrow (60") to allow for tabs and kicker bracket aswell as fit the bends in the transom face.

launched saturday in 20knt sw winds and slugged through buzzards bay wind against tide chop at 25mph.

Like that in the water shot Way to get it done!

Forgot to ask...Setback and motor height from keel to anti-cav? After all this is a VDH boat from the waterline down.

John - Setback is 28" and motor height from keel to cavitation plate is 2" . . . but the motor needs to come up 1 or 2 holes b/c it's making the telltale spray . . . and the cavitation plate is buried when it's up on a plane. Motor turns 5800 rpm with 2 people and a full tank. Top end is 35 mph . . . so far which is slow, but fuel economy is awesome Thanks again for the boat . . . I have a piece of fuel hose (stiff as a baseball bat) for the old owner.

Measured transom deadrise on this boat and it's the same as the 23 . . . just 8" wider.

Tim, We are not worthy
Looks great!
That Seawolf looks like a real nice dupe. Does it ride like the Seafari 20 or more like a 23?

Great thumbs-up graphic, Don...gonna have to borrow that one...

Gillie - it's very close to a 23 hull . . . a few differences. Also the helm is really far forward. It's like driving in front of the console on a 23cc.
