Ok which is it?
The marina where I keep my boat will always block my boat right on the thru-hulls unless I specifically tell them not too. They say it doesn't hurt them which is the exact opposite of what I have always been told- so is it a bad thing to have the boat sitting in a cradle or on blocks that are right on top of the the thru-hulls? I have the usual ones: washdown, livewell fill, sounder transducer, etc.

Re: Ok which is it?
Did you say something to a yard guy or to someone who oversee's things? I wouldn't be comfortable with someone believing it was ok to put consistent undue stress on thruhulls, strainers, and ducers. Makes me wonder how much care is taken in other aspects of service.

Re: Ok which is it?
On the SeaCrafts the best place please for a fork lift to lift your boat is on the last steps port and starboard they are 16” wide and there is nothing except the trim tabs that could hinder that location. You should always lift up the tabs before towing or lifting your boat.
The best place for trailer bunks or for it to rest in a cradle is just inside that or on top of the next step close to the end as possible both port and starboard. That is directly over the stringers of the boat and the strongest part of the boat for transport or in a cradle. There should not be any through hull fittings under the boat at this location since it is under the stringers and still pretty far out. I would not want any one to put my boat on a through hull fitting, live well scoop, or ducer either. The only exception would be on the original through hull fittings that drained in a 90 degree angle which were brace tubes with no real lip to put strain on. FellowShip …………………………. Re: Ok which is it?
Yeah, I told the yard NOT to do it this year and I got pulled yesterday and went down and checked today and they listened for a change- it was fine. They have some really lazy guys there who wouldn't dare bend over and look under the boat to position it correctly. And believe me, I check ALL the work they do because you absolutely have to- the only guy I totally trust is my outboard mechanic (who freelances/does not work there) who is the best around
