Looking at a Seacraft 25 with a honda 225 320hrs. Is this a good combination

My brother has a 225 Honda on his 25' CCP Aquasport and it does a VERY good job. It's not a speed deamon, which is mostly due to the hull's design, however it gets twice the gas milage as my 225 EFI Merc does on my 23' SF. It is heavier however I don't see it as a problem on a 23' Seacraft. Oh yeah, it's darn quiet!! If I had the money I would buy one in a second.

On a 25 it would seem underpowered to me, most of those are rigged with twin 200s

Hey Shrimpin,

I burn around 13.5gal/hr @ 3800rpm which is around 25mph, on the GPS, with an average load like three or four people, fishing gear, beer, etc. Just me in the boat, in calm water, light load, just some beer it does 31mph @4000 at about the same fuel burn. Load and water conditions are everything.
