Default 1967 Seacraft Bowrider 19' For Sale

Hey Folks,

I bought my 19' bowrider about four years ago. I do have the title, original HIN tags off the hull and it's hull #444. For those who are less familiar, this is an original Carl Moesly (the great fellow that started Seacraft back in the early sixties).

I purchased this boat with no engine or trailer and will be selling it the same way. I bought this boat as resto project and started by de-waxing it the best I could and then sanded the cap, hull etc... The transom was set up for an OMC I/O which I had no intentions of using. I removed the transom which was an extra pain because the wood was still good (amazing). The floor is solid as rock and doesn't need to be messed with, aside from some sanding and paint.

I know that the members on this site are very technical so let me describe how the transom was removed: I started by removing the last 16" of the cap which was riveted to the top of transom. Then about 14" of the deck had to come up, leaving about 6" of stringer sticking out so you can tie back in. Then the fun part. I trimmed a saw blade to approx the width of the transom, leaving it short of the outer shell, thus not compromising the integrity of the hull. I cut every little piece out, ground off all the old glue and it's now ready to drop in your favorite material.

I still have the aluminum tank, bowrail, windshield, original cleats, I/O cover and a few other small things. I have the boat listed locally for $3000. I'm open to offers. PM me or just reply to the thread. Simply put, I just bought a new house and want the boat out of my garage so I can tackle the 100 plus other projects I have going on right now.

I'll post some more recent pictures shortly. The transom has been cleaned up much more than what you see here. All the glue and wood is removed, the hull has more prep work done to it. I started filling in the few voids that were in the hull (just small scratches etc..).

Thanks for looking.

I almost forgot. The boat is located in Shrewsbury, MA 10604. And sorry, I won't take an express mail money order and deliver the boat to a container in Newark!

Have you sold this boat yet? If I was closer I would come and get it...

You could turn this into a neat little CC.

Islandtrader,

Thanks for the message. Yes, she is still for sale. I figured someone would have scooped it up for the $1500. I guess the market still isn't calling for projects.

I'm open to suggestions, I meen offers.

Thanks again.

P.S. By buddy just launched his yellowfin so I could use his trailer to drag it somewhere within reason.

Do you still have it for sale? I'm going to be travelling close to you sometime in the next 2 weeks and would like to see it if it's still available.

Bateman,

She's still in my garage. Let me know when you get close and I'll make myself available.

Thanks,

Phil

Philfish,

I sold my 20SF a few years back. Can you post or email me more pics of the boat from various angles including the interior? It's difficult to see exactly what you have from the photos posted. I am in NJ.

Thanks

Don

Default A New Day

OK folks, thanks for the 1000+ views on the bowrider. After starting the price at 3K then to $1500 and now $800 I've decided to keep it and finish it. I can't believe no body hustle over here to pick this thing up! I'll post some pic's as I move forward.
