Default need the MSO!!

I sent in My papers to get My 25 seafari registered in Ga back last march when I bought her, just realized I never heard anything from then so I call to check on it . The lady said "we need a copy of the original MSO on this boat to complete the registration" !!!
I explained the boat is over 40 years old ,and there is no way I could obtain the MSO. She puts Me on hold for 10 mins and when she returned She said " We need the hull ID number to complete the applacation". I explain the hull id# is on the applacation I mailed in , on the copy of the bill of sale and on the copy of the Fl title I mailed in with it. She said " hold on please"...................

after 10 more mins on hold she finally came back and asked if I could do a pencil etching of the hull ID number and fax it to them and the applactaion would be processed.
Man I think these idiots are there just to piss off boat owners .

DMV not to be confused with DVM are a a bunch of freaking idiots here in calif. I know this because my cousin works there. The only requirement for a position in the DMV is that you are a minority and have previously worked at Taco Bell. They loose stuff all the time and are good at taking money from us. Please take the photo of moon beam off the wall.

In Florida, at least in Alachua County, they actually do a pretty good job. We bought a pickup truck for my son recently, and got the title in the mail in less than two weeks. They were also very helpful with my antique vessel registration. Been dealing with the same office for at least 12 years and never had a problem.

The drivers license folks are another story entirely. I recently had to go to the local DL office to renew and it took four hours.

Hey Strick, I thought they had to be fired by Taco Bell, McDonalds and Waffle House and THEN they would get hired by the DMV and placed in line for a Management position.

They actually do the pencil etching thing here in NY also. I guess they figure it's harder to tamper with.

Repeat, "There ain't no fixing STUPID!" The 11TH Commandment!

We should have a Constitutional Amendment making Stupidity a Capital Offense and be rid of them!

They were probably never there. They didn't start putting HINs on the transom until 1973
