Pic of my seacraft offshore yesterday
I just thought I would share a pic of my boat approaching out destination yesterday 30+ miles off. No sharks but we had fun anyway.

Boat Looks great, and so does the water.
There's something different about fishing offshore.I don't fish the ocean, but we quite often fish 20 to 25 miles offshore on the great lakes, and somehow it just seems more special being out there.

Mercs are gone. I put twin 150 etecs on about 15 months ago and love them. Hull is 1998 (I know - not a classic, not a potter, sure to disintegrate any second now).
Etecs have some torque! I was fishing out of Chincoteague, VA last weekend and on Saturday my buddy ran his 30' Grady way up on a mud bank. He called me an I pulled up to a big Grady laying in the mud and 4 guys standing in ankle deep water. I threw them my anchor line and yanked the Grady back and forth until it was off the bar and was floating again. Twin 150s and 4 blade props did the trick. Yup, just about the middle seeing as Ontario and Erie are about sixty miles wide.Biggest problem we face are the storms that always seem to pop up without warning, and turn the one foot chop into six footers in a very few minutes.
I will say that as much as I love the ride of the Seacraft, making that 25 mile ride back to port in six foot breaking waves that seem to be ten feet apart really sucks. The good thing however is that if we were to(god forbid) lose power and be adrift we'd either end up in the Us or Canada, not Portugal.
