Default 1969 20 Seacraft Hull & Trailer $2,700

Sold

Unique Transaction ID # 59Y18626FS528312M

1969 20 foot Center Console serial number is #993 (Moesly Seacraft Hull)

This model is the one with four hollow fiberglass stringers. The center console was narrowed, and the front of the console was reduced in size to make room for five rod holders (instead of a fuel tank). It has a 36 gallon plastic tank under the deck moved as far forward as possible. The center console was moved forward from the original position as well. The casting deck was reduced in size and increased in height so that a Kodiak round bait tank (30 gallon I think) could be placed under the platform (marine plywood and epoxy used in this deck). The forward bait tank helps get more weight forward and worked great. The transom was replaced with West System epoxy and two solid pieces of ½ marine plywood and raised to 25 inches. I had to build a replacement outside skin for the transom which was brown before I put a layer of yellow gelcoat over it (the gel coat was temporary until I got around to painting the hull which I have never done). The brown you see on the transom pictures is where I sanded the gel coat off. My bait pump and transducer were mounted on blocks of wood (because I hate to drill holes in my transom) and the blocks were secured to the transom using only 4200, I removed the wood blocks and sanded through the gel coat while trying to get all the 4200 off. Every hole below the waterline was sealed with epoxy and most were over drilled and filled with epoxy and then re-drilled so that the transom would stay dry.
The majority of the floor is the original…which is now over 45 years old, and is remarkable still solid….no soft spots.
The hull had osmotic blisters on the bottom which were ground out and repaired with west system epoxy over the last 10 years they have remained solid repairs with no reoccurrence or issues.
I used this boat for 9 years, once I put the motor on it I never got around to painting it to make it look pretty. Unfortunately my family grew and I bought a bigger boat this one had been in storage and was vandalized.
What you need to put it on the water and use it: The boat is missing the motor, all gauges, steering, front pop up light, rear light, bennett trim tabs 9 X 12 two 8 inch deck plates (in the casting platform) and three 6 inch deck plates (in the gunnel). The console had a four drawer tackle storage which was removed, two bilge pumps removed.

What remains on the boat as seen in the pictures pop up cleats two in the rear gunnel, one on the bow, original rod holders are all there, all thru hull fittings which are stainless steel and all the hoses are there. The fuel fill, fuel tank, fuel filter/water separator, and hoses are all there as well. Two captains charis and pedestals.

If you want the boat to be perfect it needs a new raised floor, and to be sanded and faired inside and out, the rear splash-well where I opened it up to get to the transom needs to be repaired (I have the piece that was cut out).

The trailer is included and is a magic tilt trailer; it has a folding tongue which allowed me to fit it into my garage. The trailer is solid and has matching Denman tires (made in USA tires). The rollers are all non-marking the bow roller is the Stoltz brand. The winch is a two speed model and works, and the trailer tongue jack works as well. The only issue on the trailer is one missing bearing buddy.

Have clear Texas title and will provide bill of sale on the trailer.
Located in Kingwood Texas (Houston area).

Rusty, there's a guy who recently did a SC 20'er like a bay boat/skiff. He did a really nice "Gucci" job. Had front and rear casting decks, really sweet. I thought about doing the same thing, but decided to just buy a bay boat and sell my Hewes. Good luck.

Yea, his turned out nice from the Pictures. Haven't seen it in person yet but he is only less that an hour from me. I have been selling him resin for that project and would love to see it in person. Donnie and his son do real nice work.

Rusty, when you get ready for another 20' I will sell ya one cheep, I don't really need 5 20s anyway....lol
