Has anyone experienced the exhaust corrosion issue with these motors?

to save you from having to read hours at THT ....
I had a F225 (2003), and it was fine. My friend had two of the (2003 as well with well over 1000 hours) and they were fine. My mechanic had made the repair on another F225 and it was about $1200 parts and labor as I recall. When i say "repair" I mean replacing the exhaust before any damage was done I would not be afraid of owning another one, but I would build the cost of the repair into the purchase price and get the parts replaced.

Quote:
labor is 8hrs... a simple bore scope check,or pulling the lower unit and inspecting that way - not all were effected, and I've seen some way worse than others...
