What trim tabs to use?
I have restored a 1974 23 . I have a Hermco twin bracket with a single 30" shaft Yamaha 250, we are having a hard time finding trim tabs that will fit.
The bracket is mounted as per instruction from Hermco. Could someone that has used this bracket give my the correct trim tabs to use. |

Are your accuators too long? if so you have 2 options . . . trim holes in the swim platform or use the bennett short actuators

Have you called Hermco to ask for a P/N # for a new actuator? He told me about this when I was ordering my bracket, so I would think that he would have an idea of which ones will work.

I think you want the M120 actuator. Capt. Terry had similar questions so I just measured the length of my standard actuator yesterday for comparison. The 11.25" dimension on the short actuator measures 13.5" on the standard actuator. Don just notched my bracket for the standard actuator, but he should know if the short actuator will fit under swim platform.

If I were doing this again, I would mount them a little further inboard.

Not to change the subject but I see Bennett is offering electric actuators now with a lifetime warranty. I have used Lenco for years and like them but they only have a 2 year warranty. This is a step in the right direction for Bennett in my eyes and will likely put Lenco on the street if they don't follow suite with a similar product backing.
