Default Return of the 21' Mosely

Sure, I'd like to bring the 21' hull back...........with new name, as a new boat company and call it:

The BULL 21'......... a serious blue water trailer able boat that fills the need for security of a cuddy boat, with the hard core elements of the finest center console hulls.
Features
Unique style with very deep V and tall bow, tapered sharply at the stern to provide drifting stability. Huge compared to nearly all other 21's.
Deep, high gunnels for security, with oversized scuppers to shed big water quickly.
Huge 130 gallon fuel tank for extended ranges up to 300 miles.
Overbuilt hull and transom design to support outboard power to 300 hp.
Extra heavy duty windshield with center opening section that locks water tight.
Simple, clear cuddy with rod storage and space for head.
Heavy duty marine grade wiring and plumbing to the highest quality standard.
Full floatation to provide buoyance if completely filled with water.

A boat built to fish and run rough seas without pounding, designed to withstand harsh conditions. No cheap plastic fittings anywhere. A boat built to reflect the name..........The BULL 21'

Then show it off at the big boat shows.......with video's showing running in real 3'-4' chop, and crowds of knowing ocean fisherman saying things like " wow, that sure is a big 21' boat.
Who wants to resurrect the hull with me, build a mold, and start the boat company that becomes legendary again...........

great thought! already wanting to own one. not sure on the name though. would have to create a very strategic marketing plan. everyone seems to want a 17'-19' cc these days. a military or commercial contract would get things moving.

I think you might have a problem competing with slightly larger boats that will cost the same to build. The cost to build/rig/market an offshore boat like the 21 will be the same for a 23. I know its a better boat, but it might be an up-hill fight to sell it.

As the saying goes...

Do you know how to make a small fortune in the boat business?

I think it would need to be a cc to stand a chance in Florida. That's what the offshore crowd wants.

It a lovely, sturdy, capable boat. You have my emotional and moral support. I will not be participating financially.
Perhaps you pop a mold and offer the hull/deck/windshield as a buildable shell?
Or a CC ready hull?

No CC........too much huddling behind the helm station in cold, windy, rainy conditions .

Been there, done that.

Cuddy.....as was the original Mosely 21.

You need both. Cuddy for the northern boaters to extend the season and a CC for the southern guys. It gets too hot down here . Ask me how I know

I get your desire for the cuddy...I really do. That's why I got a cuddy version of the 23.

But...I'm also a realist. It's 2016, not 1965. The general boating community doesn't want a cuddy, it's not cool to be at the sandbar in a cuddy. A company who only builds one 21' hull would never survive today by only building a cuddy. Whether you like it or not, the center console version would be the boat that kept the company afloat. Don't think this theoretical boat builder could survive more than 18-24 months without a CC version. There's a reason a lot of production boat builders that used to build cuddy and walkaround boats are dropping them. They just don't make money.
