Default weight concern 115 Yamaha on 20' SF

I have a mid-70s 20' SC center console with the original low cut transom, and I have recently repowered with a 115 four stroke. This engine weighs about 60 lbs more than my 115 two stroke, and it has lowered the stern approximately 2" with no one in the boat. It rides great at all speeds, but I now need to keep the plugs in the self-bail holes if I want the floor to remain dry. If I rebuild the transom, I would definitely raise it. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what, if any, adjustments did you make? Thanks.

Contact Uncle Boo for a Hermco custom fiberglass splashwell, OR buy a Bob’s 5 in 1 manual jack plate $250ish, set it and forget it.
