20 Seafari Questions
What is your opinion on this Seafari? Im guessing maybe a new transom. Not looking for a full on project as I am just now finishing up a Lake and Bay project. I don't mind a cosmetic restoration. Anyone in the area already checked out this boat?

Aluminum plate on transom could be a transom that is bad.
But its cheap enough |

That one needs a whole bunch of work, agree on the transom. Looks like a full on project and overpriced for what I can see.

Looks like it's got a Seamark or Hermco splashwell (nice score!), working camper windshield, and I'm a fan of the later-year rake to the windshield. Seems a lot of pieces to the puzzle are missing however...
A lot of accessories on the transom = lots of holes = potential for water ingress, on top of the aluminum plate as mentioned already, I'd assume it needs a transom redo. I'm sure the right buyer will throw the seller an offer... hopefully it will be saved! |

pick it up for a grand
run it 3 years and dump it sounds like a good deal to me |

I am considering it for sure. Should finish my flats boat in a week, so I'll be ready for a new project if its still for sale

I bet it’s yours if you want it. It’s been on and off Craigslist since I started looking for my 1st Seafari 4 years ago. Seafari 20’s look to be a tough sell, especially in Florida.

20’ Seafaris
Yes Bill- Seafaris are loved by their owners, but not popular with others. Still mine after 43 years. Great looks, ride, storage, skiing, and trolling. But can see why the cc is popular for drift and bottom fishing.

Agreed on all accounts. I would add the additional weather protection too. The water temp up here is still hovering around 45.

Brrrr!
Even in Florida, it only takes one winter trip to convince most divers of the utility of that windshield. I loved my 20 and love my 25. Incredible boats. |
