Default Transducer mount material

Want to add a transducer mount to mount my transducer to the hull. Been looking into different materials and can’t find anything conclusive. I have prepped a piece of Azek but I’m concerned that it might be too soft and water flow might rip the transducer off. Anybody have experience with mounting material ? Whatever material, I’m going to screw it into transom after potting holes...

Starboard seems to be the most popular.

I have no experience with these but the reviews are great. Plus, no holes in the transom

I spoke with a fella that used something like that. Had no complaints. Don is correct. Prep is everything to make it stick.

Went with azek - I tested screws in a scrap - it’ll do. I drilled (4) oversized holes in transom and filled with thickened epoxy. Tomorrow, I’ll center drill through those holes, polysulfude and mount the azek. Then, install transducer. I’m not afraid of drilling holes as long as I pot ‘em. Should be ‘irie’... saw the 5200 or epoxy / dovetail method and thought if I ever wanted to remove the mount, it might be unpleasant trying to do so...

Getting the transducer set right seems to be a trick. Think I’m leaning toward putting it lower into the oncoming water with the aft downward a tad.
